why ink for printers is so expensive?

why ink for printers is so expensive?I own an inkjet and every time i get unusual ink cartridges i pay partially the price of the printer.Looks like ink is more costly then grease or gold. Why and will ever win cheeper?

why ink for printers is so expensive?

Theyre so expensive because there is such a lofty demand for ink..

It of course doesnt cost that much to make it.
Go buy one of those ink restock kits. You know, where on earth you inject the ink via a syringe. They work great and will save you LOTS of money. I enjoy been using one for years presently. You will have to buy a spanking new cartridge once surrounded by a while because they don't last forever but I enjoy saved hundreds, possibly thousands, of dollars alreay. The ink feature and print quality is superb, I can make clear to no difference.
You have finally found out that HP, Lexmark, adjectives are in the ink and toner business not the printer business. Instead of buying unmarked - try places that do refills - approaching Walgreen's.
because,,its expensive!
Printer ink cartridges are expensive for the same rationale that razor blades are expensive. They are selling the printers at a loss and profit when you buy the videotape.
Ink is expensive because printers are not standardized.
