With two of impossible to tell apart Dell laptops, I connected the first using the printer's Host Name ("NCPP"). The second laptop is not accepting the Host Name. On the second laptop I pinged the printer so it's definitly seeing it. I don't want to use the IP address because it's not static.
Why can't I use the printer's Host Name?
If you are using a Network printer (NOT THE USB PRINTER), then you can set a STATIC IP address on the printer and next call the IP Address from the computers on the make friends. This will resolve the issue.
If you are using a HP Printer which has the Printer server inbuilt to label it a network printer, consequently I can help you out, if you could tolerate me know what model it is. (email: jeshkris@gmail.com)
