who developed the fluid crystal display?

The first functioning LCD was base on the Dynamic Scattering Mode (DSM) and was introduced contained by 1968 by a group at RCA in the USA head by George Heilmeier. Heilmeier founded Optel, which introduced a number of LCDs base on this technology.
Al Gore, right after he invented the Internet.
